Cabins 1-5 are the ones everyone asks about. These charming one-bedroom riverfront cabins put you right on the water’s edge, with the Murray drifting past your deck. They’re ideal for couples wanting a romantic escape or families who want the kids to wake up to river views.
The layout is simple and works. A cosy double bed with electric blanket sits on a carpeted area next to the full ensuite bathroom – no midnight trips across the park. On the other side of the spacious kitchen and living area, you’ll find bunks for the kids. Privacy curtains draw across each sleeping area, so everyone gets their own space when needed. Parents can stay up watching a movie while the little ones sleep, or couples can close off the main bedroom for privacy.
Linen is provided for the main bed, and single linen kits are available for the bunks if required.
The kitchen has a small stove, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle, plus cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Everything you need to put together meals, though we’ll be honest – most guests end up cooking and eating outside. When you’ve got that river view, it’s hard to stay indoors.
Air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable whatever the season, with ceiling fans for extra airflow on warm nights. There’s a TV with DVD player for evenings in.
But let’s talk about why people really book these cabins: the deck. Step outside onto your covered outdoor area with table and chairs, and there’s the mighty Murray right in front of you. Morning coffee watching pelicans glide past. Sunset drinks as the light turns golden on the water. The riverbank is literally a hop, step and jump away – grab your fishing rod, throw in a line, or just find a spot to sit and do absolutely nothing.
These cabins book out fast, especially during school holidays and long weekends. If you’ve got your heart set on a riverfront position, don’t wait too long.
