Cabin 7 combines two things guests love most – riverfront position and pet-friendly accommodation. This charming one-bedroom cabin works beautifully for couples wanting a getaway with their dog, or families with up to five who don’t want to leave the family pet behind.
The layout is clever and flexible. A cosy double bed with electric blanket sits on a carpeted area next to the full ensuite bathroom. On the other side of the spacious kitchen and living area, you’ll find the single bed area with bunks. Privacy curtains draw across each sleeping area, so parents can stay up watching telly while the kids are asleep, or everyone can have their own space when needed.
Linen is provided for the main bed, and single linen kits are available for the bunks if required. The ensuite means no trudging across the park in the middle of the night – particularly appreciated when you’ve got little ones or an early-rising dog.
The kitchen has a small stove, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle, plus all the cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery you need. It’s enough to put together proper meals, though most guests find themselves cooking and eating outside – which is really the point of a riverfront cabin.
Air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable year-round, and there’s a TV with DVD player for quiet evenings in.
But let’s be honest – you’re booking this cabin for the deck. Step outside to your covered outdoor area with table and chairs, and there’s the mighty Murray meandering right past. Morning coffee watching the mist lift off the water. Evening drinks as the sun drops behind the red gums. The riverbank is just a hop, step and jump away – perfect for throwing a line in or letting the dog have a sniff around.
The park also has an off-lead dog area where your four-legged mate can have a proper run and meet other park dogs. Between that, the river walks, and the covered deck, your dog’s going to have as good a holiday as you are.
