Cabin 6 is one of our prized riverfront positions, and it’s built for couples who want a relaxing escape without roughing it. This bright, open-plan cabin puts you right on the water’s edge with uninterrupted views of the mighty Murray.
The spacious layout keeps everything comfortable and accessible. The queen-size bed sits on a carpeted area with an electric blanket for cooler nights, and the full ensuite bathroom means no midnight wanderings across the park. It’s your own private space with the river as your backdrop.
The living area has two comfy chairs for relaxing and an intimate two-person dining table – just right for a quiet breakfast or evening meal together. The kitchen is compact but has everything you need: cooktop, microwave, toaster and kettle, plus cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Though honestly, most guests spend their time outdoors or wandering into Barham for dinner at the pub.
Air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable year-round, and there’s a TV with DVD player for quiet nights in. A ceiling fan adds extra airflow on warm summer evenings.
The real drawcard is the covered outdoor deck. Pull up a chair, pour a drink, and watch the Murray meander past. It’s the kind of view that makes you forget about everything back home. The riverbank is just a hop, step and jump away – grab your fishing rod and try for a Murray cod, or simply find a shady spot and let the afternoon drift by.
This cabin is perfect for couples celebrating an anniversary, needing a weekend away, or just wanting some quiet time together. You’re close enough to the park facilities if you want them, but far enough from the action that it feels like your own private retreat. There’s parking right alongside for easy access.
